As an Application Engineering Leader (m/f/*) for Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
1. Leading and energizing work groups, creating a climate that encourages innovation, teamwork, and high productivity.
2. Identifying, prioritizing, initiating, and planning technical programs for one or more work groups, ensuring successful outcomes for complex cross-functional programs.
3. Managing budgets for assigned work groups, approving programs and budget deviations, and allocating resources to meet business objectives.
4. Utilizing resources across work areas, departments, and businesses to determine solutions to complex, multi-faceted problems, significantly impacting the organization.
5. Communicating and collaborating effectively with multiple functions and/or organizations, fostering a collaborative environment among team members.
6. Developing in-depth knowledge of laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, financial, legal, sales, and marketing functions and interfaces as required.
7. Creating and implementing intellectual property protection plans for potential 3M proprietary positions and providing strategic recommendations for technical planning.
8. Developing a robust pipeline of application development, customer and market spec-in opportunities
9. Creating a culture of customer intimacy and technical leadership
10. Collaborating with business leadership to help determine priorities and strategy across product portfolios and segments
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
11. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant science or engineering field, or equivalent experience.
12. Significant experience in related technical industry including application engineering and automation
13. Significant experience in people management and communication skills, with the ability to energize and influence others.
14. Proven success in project management, delivering results and inspiring team members.
15. Technical competence and solid knowledge of bonding technologies, including tapes and adhesives markets.
16. Proficiency in English.
17. Familiarity with SalesForce.com
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
