We are an internationally oriented team based in Kassel (Germany), and we are currently accepting applications for an Insect Neuroscientist to join us at the earliest mutually convenient time.
Essential qualifications & experience
* PhD in Biology, Neuroscience, Entomology, or related field (completed or near completion)
* Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, ideally with a focus on insects
* Familiarity with experimental behavioural studies, ideally involving insects
Desirable knowledge & experience
* Previous work conducted on electrophysiology
* Microsurgical techniques
* Basic knowledge of electronics
Key responsibilities
* Develop and test novel control strategies for insect-based biorobots
* Optimise the current methods, utilizing electrical signal stimulation and pharmacological modulation
* Collaborate across disciplines to integrate biological insights with technological design
