About the Role
* This position involves managing day-to-day database operations, ensuring stability and performance.
* The successful candidate will handle service requests, resolve incidents, and implement changes as required.
* Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining database system software to support business operations.
* Database migrations to Oracle 19C will be performed and managed by the successful candidate.
* System performance will be monitored, issues will be troubleshooted, and database efficiency will be optimized.
* Databases will be refreshed as required by business needs.
* The successful candidate will ensure database security through proper access control and permission management.
* Backup and recovery of databases using Oracle RMAN will be managed, ensuring full disaster recovery capability.
* Oracle High Availability solutions using RAC & Data Guard will be configured and administered.
* The successful candidate will propose and implement improvements for database maintenance, reliability, performance, and security.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in database administration with a focus on Oracle databases.
* Strong knowledge of database system software and configuration.
* Ability to install, configure, and maintain database systems.
* Experience with database migrations and refreshing databases.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
