What project we have for you
This international engineering project in the automotive environment is focused on the systematic automation, stabilization, and quality assurance of test activities across multiple vehicle platforms, system architectures, and markets.
The role involves the development, operation, and continuous improvement of automated tests for connected vehicle systems within a German OEM environment, as well as the integration of automation results into release, integration, and readiness processes.
What you will do
* Develop, extend, and maintain automated test sets based on a modular, JIRA-based test system
* Automate baseline tests, regression tests, and recurring validation flows across multiple platforms and architectures
* Integrate automation results into release readiness activities
* Provide run logs, test results, and KPIs for project and management reporting
* Ensure traceability between automated test cases and project or system requirements
* Collaborate closely with manual Test Engineers and the Ticket Manager to identify suitable automation candidates
* Maintain and improve automation scripts, test frameworks, and test bench configurations
* Analyze test failures and support root cause analysis
* Continuously improve automation coverage and test stability
* Support integration, release, and rollout phases
What you need for this
* Several years of experience in test automation within automotive or embedded systems environments
* Strong Python skills (mandatory)
* Experience with modular, JIRA-based test management or automation systems
* Experience automating regression tests and recurring validation flows
* Solid knowledge of test frameworks, automation scripts, and automated test environments
* Understanding of traceability between requirements, test cases, and test results
* Experience in analyzing and reporting test results and KPIs
* Structured, analytical, and independent working style
* German language skills (written and spoken)
* English language skills (written and spoken)
* Valid work permit for Germany
Nice to Have:
* Experience with German OEMs
* Experience with connected vehicle systems or embedded software
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or automated testing in integration environments
* Experience working with manual testing and ticket management roles
