Summary: Drive the development of electronic product sales in a defined geography. Provide pre-sales product and Application support. Provide basic “feature benefit” and application sales training to sales engineers and selected customers for electronic products Electronic Products defined as: Servo and stepping motor drives and controls, mechanical ball screw and belt drive actuators, PLC’s HMI’s, CPX valve manifolds.

Key accountabilities:

6. Primarily responsible for pre-sales support of all motion controllers, electric drives products (servo & stepper drives, actuators, and PLC‘s Knowledge of typical applications is required
7. Drive the sales of electric products through Festo Sales Engineers, Industry Segment Managers and selected distribution. These will be considered your “internal customers“
8. Maintain good working knowledge of new products and their applications.
9. Works closely with US Product Management, Industry Segment Managers, District Sales Managers, Distribution Management, and the Mechatronics Application Engineers
10. Travel may be required via any means of transportation determined by Company for business reasons such as, training, customer sites/visits or a company business event.

Knowledge & Experience:

11. BS-EE or Equivalent
12. 3-5 years of field experience in Motion Control, a thorough understanding of Machine Design and Factory Automation, and an in-depth understanding of how Serial OEM and Custom OEM machine builders operate.
13. English Language
14. Has ability to navigate abstract sales data and generate reports from said data to arrive at more effective sales activities
15. Experience in Automotive, Semiconductor, Food and Beverage, and End of Line Packaging Industries
