Hauptaufgaben
Conducts clerical and technical supply support activities assigned in accordance with established procedures, MCDM, Shelf Life Extension Program (SLEP) and Theater Enterprise Wide Logistics System (TEWLS). Monitors flow of documents based on short falls or recurring errors and detected discrepancies, modifies individual steps in the document flow to decrease processing time and eliminate source of error. Posts goods receipts without purchase order for materiel received from Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG), United States Army Medical Management Agency (USAMMA) and or other Commands. Identifies and picks materiel to be issued to customers based on information provided by the Command. Posts the appropriate goods issue and creates the related issue documents. Handles major difficulties and discrepancies concerning incoming items by coordinating with other sections, Units/Organizations. Eliminates sources for loss or waste of items and funds. Updates and maintains special packing procedures monitoring the effectiveness of electronic devices.
Independently plans the distribution of storage space on a long-term basis, considering quantity and type of MCDM & Contingency special storage requirements, directives and loading and unloading space/facilities at the warehouse by capturing item size, weight and specifications to updates mater Data in TEWLS to allow the system to compute accurate storage capacity. Conducts monthly inventories of all stocked materiel and reports inventory results to higher command and owners of materiel.
Initiates regular re-warehousing. If necessary, assigns new locations, conducts special inventory and moves items. Regularly initiates inspection of certain items to be tested on a recurring basis by monitoring item expiration date in the SLEP Data base and after coordination with OTSG forwarding items to the test site. Initiates physical inventory and/or research in case of discrepancy. In case of unserviceable condition incumbent is authorized to reclassify materiel for destruction. Handles major difficulties and discrepancies concerning incoming and/or stocked items. Conducts applicable research and provides input or advice to the SLEP Program. Coordinates with suppliers to eliminate future problems or transportation related issues.
Performs a variety of data transfer and verification assignments utilizing medical catalog Universal Data Repository (UDR), SLEP, and TEWLS system. Utilizes the knowledge of the system in order to perform and verify that such tasks as accurate processing of receipts, high-priority materiel releases, condition and location changes have been done properly. In addition, checks pertinent information such as National Stock Number (NSN), unit of issue, intermediate package quantity, storage/handling notes, etc. in the stock record file to ensure supplies are properly maintained. Manages and updates all batch information in TEWLS. Assures all Quality Control data is captured as well as the correct project codes and fund owners are recorded with information provided by the Command.
Responsible for all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), temperature tracking devices, refrigerators, freezers and sub-freezers. Coordinates with supervisor to obtain sufficient quantity of operating devices (e.g. hand carts, MHE, etc.), orders necessary equipment and arranges for inspection by motor pool and other organizations.
Provides on-the-job training for co-workers and backup personnel, broadening employee training and providing backup skills by cross training. Informs coworkers about policies, procedures and goals of management as they relate to work and changes. Assures flow and distribution of work by prioritizing materiel and time established by the Command. Plans for sufficient amount of supplies, prepares workload reports and reports highlights of operations and problems in meeting work schedules to higher level supervisor. Reviews work in progress, spot checks to assess the quality and quantity of work produced. Inspects area of responsibility regularly on a monthly basis for serviceable/functional condition, adherence to safety regulations, space and proper storage of the items. Provides required written or verbal handling instructions to employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-5:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.
• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
• Applicants must be in possession of a forklift operator license.
• Office automation skills are required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level B2 required.
