The role reports directly to the Director of the "Get Your Car" business unit, giving you the visibility, ownership, and strategic influence to really make a difference. YOUR MISSION: As Team Lead Marketplace Germany (m/f/d), you will shape and steer the strategic development of our German marketplace. You will ensure a perfect match between supply and demand, drive the continuous evolution of our platform, and lay the foundation for sustainable, profitable growth. With your strategic vision, your strong commercial acumen, and your deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, you will make Carwow the go-to destination for dealers, buyers, and manufacturers in the digital automotive world. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ownership and continuous evolution of the German marketplace strategy — with a strong focus on liquidity, supply-demand balance, and commercial success. Translation of strategic priorities into a clear, measurable roadmap — ensuring sharp execution and strong cross-team alignment. Early identification of structural growth opportunities and bottlenecks — turning insights into high-impact initiatives that drive tangible results. Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Commercial, Marketing, and Analytics — aligning all levers towards shared marketplace goals. Coaching, empowering, and inspiring the marketplace team — raising performance, ownership, and ambition across the board. Strategic sparring partnership with the Senior Leadership Team — providing insight and guidance on marketplace health, business performance, and future growth opportunities. Representation of the German marketplace in global forums — contributing actively to the development of Carwow’s international marketplace strategy. KEY REQUIREMENTS: Solid experience in steering and scaling marketplaces or platform business models — ideally in a strategic or leadership capacity. Strategic, long-term thinking combined with entrepreneurial action and a sharp focus on balancing short-term priorities with sustainable growth. Strong analytical mindset paired with a hands-on approach to execution and continuous optimization. High comfort level thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Deep expertise in funnel metrics, unit economics, and supply-demand dynamics — part of your daily operating system. Ability to create clarity, communicate with confidence, and empower others to take ownership and drive real impact. Proven track record in building, coaching, and leading high-performing teams. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority. Advanced working knowledge of Excel, SQL and Tableau. Full fluency in German and strong communication skills in an international, English-speaking environment.
