Your Tasks
Design and development of thermal control systems
Conceptual design, sizing, verification and validation of thermal control systems according to customer requirements and feasibility with regard to manufacturing, integration, cost, schedule, quality and risk
Thermal analysis including the creation of thermal models, verification and assessment of analysis results
Hardware definition based on the chosen thermal control design solutions and product ownership during implementation and verification
Support of reviews (from system to equipment level) and presentation of work results to internal and external customers
Technical supervision of thermal hardware sub-contractors and support of the subcontractor manager
Support of system engineers during design, development and implementation at system and sub-system level
Support of project management office with work planning and progress reporting
Your Qualifications
Degree in engineering with a major in aerospace engineering or comparable qualifications
Several years of professional experience in space thermal sub-system engineering is preferred
Experience in the design of thermal control systems, spacecraft thermal engineering and analysis for spacecraft is preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
High motivation and proactive involvement with a strong passion for space and spacecraft engineering
Strong communication and negotiation skills (preferably English and German)
Experience in subcontractor management is preferred
In-depth knowledge of ESATAN-TMS, or a similar thermal analysis software
Used to work in an international environment
