A Day in the Life
As a key member of the Global Operations and Supply Chain Controllership team within the EMEA region, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Partnering with site finance teams, Tax and Transfer Pricing departments, external auditors, and service providers, you will support statutory financial statements, Corporate Income Tax reporting, and audit coordination for our Deggendorf manufacturing site.
This role requires a proactive, self-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across multiple areas of the Finance function.
Your main responsibilities in this role will be:
1. Prepare financial statements, coordinate audits, and ensure timely statutory and tax filings.
2. Translate US GAAP to local GAAP accounting principles.
3. Support month-end close processes and prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
4. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and service providers to meet organizational goals.
Key Skills & Experience
7. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
8. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
9. 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting including HGB experience.
10. Fluency in English and German (C1 proficiency level or higher).
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SAP).
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
15. Experience in a global manufacturing company.
16. Familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
17. Knowledge of international accounting standards and practices.
