As a Senior Manager (Expert) - Tax Compliance & Tax Technology, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency within our global tax function. We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team in Ingelheim and contribute to the continuous improvement of our tax compliance processes and systems!
Tasks & responsibilities
* Leading the implementation of technological solutions, you will optimize tax processes and drive efficiency.
* In this role, you will support the development and application of AI and BI tools for tax data analysis and insights.
* As part of your responsibilities, you will provide tax-related guidance during the implementation and management of ERP and compliance systems across the company.
* You will act as a trusted advisor to German Boehringer Ingelheim entities on income tax matters.
* Working closely with a dynamic team, you will drive improvements in Tax Compliance processes, focusing on opportunities for automation and optimization.
* Representing tax-related topics in cross-functional projects, you will ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Preparing and reviewing tax returns for German group entities, you will also oversee tax calculations for annual financial statements.

* Additionally, you will prepare and review complex tax returns for German group entities, respond to audit inquiries, and oversee tax calculations for annual financial statements
Requirements
* Degree in Economics, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on accounting or taxation
* Several years of professional experience in taxation, with a strong background in Tax Compliance and Tax Reporting
* Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects
* Proficiency in MS Office and SAP, along with interest and experience in AI and BI applications
* A solid understanding of processes and expertise in designing and implementing tax digitalization projects
* Strong teamwork, communication skills, analytical abilities, and a structured, independent working style
* Fluency in both German and English at a professional level
Additional requirements for Senior Manager Expert - Tax Compliance & Technology
* Extensive professional experience in the field of taxation, particularly in Tax Compliance and leading cross-functional projects, as well as, if applicable, having passed the tax advisor examination
