Head of Business Development Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Netherlands)
Join Qonto as Head of Business Development Central Europe and drive market domination in Germany through strategic partnerships and ecosystem development. You will establish Qonto as the financial solution for freelancers, startups, and SMEs through our partner ecosystem and lead go-to-market strategies across core partnership domains in close collaboration with Product, Sales, and Key Account Management.
Responsibilities
* Develop and expand strategic partnerships by identifying, negotiating, and executing go-to-market strategies with key partners including tech integrations, venture capital firms, tax advisors, and affiliate marketing programs
* Build and scale the partnerships ecosystem across verticals (accounting, e-commerce, fintech, tech-oriented industries) to unlock B2B2SME partnerships leveraging Qonto’s product suite
* Lead and manage the partnerships and affiliate marketing teams in a compact scale-up environment, including hiring and strategic staffing decisions
* Drive ecosystem partnerships by establishing strategic relationships with local partners, engaging industry leaders, and presenting Qonto’s value proposition in high-stakes B2B relationships
* Establish Qonto as the go-to solution for freelancers and SMEs by developing the Accountants Network & Tax Advisors channel and driving affiliate performance marketing across partnership channels

About your future manager
Malte brings extensive experience in scaling business development in the German market and will provide strategic guidance on market penetration while giving you ownership of the partnerships and affiliate marketing functions. He values entrepreneurial thinking and results-driven leadership and supports leaders who drive growth through innovative partnership strategies.
About you
* Experience: Significant business development and partnerships experience; a strategic generalist who has built and scaled B2B2SME partnerships
* Partnership leadership: Proven ability to lead partnerships and/or affiliate marketing teams in fast-paced, compact scale-up environments
* Entrepreneurial mindset: Zero-to-one or turnaround experience; founder experience or consulting/investment banking background with operator experience
* Strategic acumen: Ability to grasp technical integration concepts, present and sell software in B2B relationships, and translate partnerships into business value; B2B fintech or adjacent regulated industries preferred
* Ecosystem development: Experience growing affiliate/channel programs and partnership ecosystems with clear KPIs and partner tiers
* Executive presence: Proven ability to engage with boards and venture capital firms
* Languages and location: Fluent in German & English; located in Berlin
