Intern Breeding R&D Field Testing - Künzing, DE (m/f/d)
THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of the Bayer EMEA Breeding Growing Early Talent Program, this 6-month internship at the Bayer Breeding Station in Künzing – Bavaria offers insight and participation, as a member of the Field-Testing team, in all major processes of Winter Oil Seed Rape and Corn lifecycle from sowing to harvest.
YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
1. You will assist in using innovative and state of the art technology for scoring, sowing and harvest
2. You will experience modern farming and agricultural sciences by practical application
3. You will actively participate in the changing tasks and challenges over the season
4. You will support in the planning and execution of data analysis, phenotyping scoring and trial maintenance for yield and pathology trials throughout our network in DE
5. You will collaborate as a member of an international project team in a global organization working with industry leaders and experts
WHO YOU ARE
6. You are a currently enrolled B.Sc. or M.Sc. student in agricultural sciences or related field
7. You have an interest in modern farming and agriculture, experimental design, pathology and the market landscape in Germany
8. You can work independently as well as in a team and enjoy having various tasks ranging from manual tasks in the field to computer work
9. Your computer skills encompass MS Office, and you readily adapt to new database applications
10. You have the willingness to obtain the UAV pilot license
11. You are proficient in English and German
12. You hold a B Driving license
