As a Senior Ramp-up Manager – Operations, you will be responsible for the successful operational ramp-up of new medical technology products across our production sites in Ansbach (Germany) and Lipova (Romania). You will steer and coordinate the activities of local internal Ramp-up Managers, ensuring that plants, production processes, resources, and production teams are fully prepared to meet volume, quality, and delivery targets before and during the ramp-up phase according health standards.
This is what you will deliver …
* Coordinate and steer the ramp-up with focus on operations function for new products across multiple sites, with a focus on production readiness, efficiency, and stability.
* Manage and align the activities of local Ramp-up Managers in Germany and Romania.
* Coordinate together with the Ramp-up Managers and plant responsibles with industrialization functions from the Business Unit Health that the production lines and equipment are prepared for volume increases and process changes.
* Collaborate closely with Production, Logistics, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless ramp-up preparation and execution from operations point of view.
* Monitor ramp-up KPIs (e.g., OEE, scrap rate, cycle time, delivery performance) and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Identify and mitigate operational risks during the ramp-up phase with special focus on health requirements.
* Ensure alignment with customer requirements, internal milestones, and our customer’s operational standards.
* Facilitate cross-site communication, knowledge sharing, and best practice transfer between operations and business unit functions.
* Develop together with existing plant and project functions, project plans for all ramp-up work packages
* Coordinate interface between site readiness, the business unit industrial engineering and project management
* Coaching and support of wp leads for the ramp-up
This is what we aspect …
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field with background health business.
* Minimum 5–7 years of experience in operations or production management, required in the medical business and experience of ramp-up new health production areas.
* Proven experience in managing complex ramp-up projects in a multi-site environment for health business.
* Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
* Fluent in English and German language skills are required.
* Willingness to travel regularly between Ansbach and Lipova with longer on-site stays abroad.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), MES, and production planning tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Good communication skills across all hierarchical levels (GF to shop floor)
* Ability to endure conflicts and resolve them constructively
* Analytical skills and the ability to break down complicated tasks into simple steps
* Moderation of workshops
