TECHNICAL OFFICE ENGINEER – SAILING YACHT SHIPYARD
Place of work: Greifswald, Germany – hybrid work.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design of onboard systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical), creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with SolidWorks.
* Support the design and engineering of yacht structures and composite components.
* Support the design and engineering of deck plans, including all sailing and non‑sailing equipment layout.
* Prepare, review, and validate construction drawings and technical documentation.
* Collaborate closely with production teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure designs are feasible and compliant with certification standards (RINA, CE).
* Provide technical support during production phases in the shipyard.
Qualifications
* Proven experience (5+ years) in the nautical/marine industry, with a strong background in onboard systems design.
* Professional proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory).
* Very good command of English (working language).
* German is a plus, but not required.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and comply with certification standards.
* Degree in Naval, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields (preferred).
* Strong communication skills, problem‑solving mindset, and team spirit.
* Knowledge of composite structures and production methods is a plus.
* Being a sailor is a plus.
