In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, ETI / Embedded Systems, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.04.2026 at the following conditions:
1. 50% = 19,92 hours
2. Pay grade 13 TV-L
3. limited by 31.10.2028
Your tasks:
4. Contribution to the research project WISES
5. Develop reconfigurable hardware architecture combining AI accelerators and Genera-Purposes CPUs.
6. Investigate optimization algorithms for customizing the hardware architecture for AI applications
7. Implementation and evaluation as part of a use case for leakage detection in an industrial environment
8. Contribution to reporting and technical documentation.
Your profile:
9. Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
10. Knowledge of AI/ML methods and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
11. Basic understanding of embedded systems.
12. Experience with RISC V desirable
13. Familiarity with optimization algorithms are desirable.
14. Strong programming skills (C/C++, Python; hardware-description languages “e.g., HLS, VHDL” is a plus).
15. Motivation to pursue a PhD and contribute to applied AI research.
16. Excellent English communication skills.
