Tasks
How you'll make an impact:
* Architect customer-facing solutions and define technical concepts
* Develop and deploy hands-on Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to demonstrate our platform's value to our clients
* Engineer custom platform extensions in Java (Spring Boot) to map individual workflows
* Implement integration scripts and "middleware" in Python to connect ACCURIDS with external customer tools (e.g., via REST APIs).
* Lead technical workshops with customer SMEs to translate vague requirements into clear, technical solutions
* Provide expert-level technical support: analyze complex issues (e.g., via log analysis) and find fast, pragmatic solutions
* Create clear technical documentation, diagrams, and guides for the solutions you build
Requirements
What helps you succeed:
* 3-5 years of hands-on, practical experience in a professional software development environment
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
* Proven experience in Python scripting (ideally for data integration / APIs) and backend development with Java (Spring Boot)
* Solid knowledge of relational databases (especially PostgreSQL)
* Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate vague business requirements into a concrete technical architecture
* Excellent communication skills to proactively convey technical details to internal teams and external customer stakeholders
* A proven ability to write high-quality technical documentation
* Experience in the Life Science industry or a clear motivation to dive into this domain. Experience in other data-heavy, regulated industries (e.g., Healthcare, FinTech) is also a plus.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), Elasticsearch, or Knowledge Graphs (SPARQL) is also a plus, but not a requirement.
