We are located at the “Zukunftsmeile” in Paderborn and are actively shaping the next generation of innovation. Our focus: practice-oriented research for mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, and related sectors. We develop intelligent products, production systems, services, and software applications.
In our Corporate Innovation department, we explore a core question: How can we use the latest methods, technologies, and data to drive successful product innovation? We specialize in developing innovation teams – from newly founded start-ups to well-established large enterprises – into efficient and economically successful units. The GenAI Incubator is our latest initiative, created to foster individual talent and address the rapid developments in Generative AI triggered by tools such as ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, and others.
That’s why we’re looking for you to join the GenAI Incubator! Become part of a team consisting of 3–4 students (interdisciplinary teams with technical, innovation, and business expertise) and work on developing and implementing your own ideas to solve real-world industry problems. With comprehensive support, your team will go through an agile innovation process: from identifying the problem, ideation, detailing, business development, and prototyping to validation – as frequently, quickly, and efficiently as possible.

What you will do
* Active contribution to the development and implementation of innovation projects in the field of Generative AI
* Participation in the complete innovation process: from idea generation to prototype development
* Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams consisting of method and technology experts
* Regular exchange and collaboration with industry partners to identify and solve real-world problems
* Contributing to the development and validation of new products and services
What you bring to the table
* Enrolled in a relevant field of study (e.g., engineering, computer science, business administration)
* Strong motivation, creativity, and the ability to work independently
* Interest in innovative technologies and methods, with a willingness to learn
* Programming skills in relevant frontend frameworks (e.g., TypeScript, REACT, and NodeJS)
* Knowledge of Python (FastAPI)
* Experience with interface frameworks (e.g., REST)
* Solid understanding of unit and integration testing
* Familiarity with AWS or Azure services, as well as Kubernetes and Docker
* Team spirit and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
