YOUR ROLE:
As a Data Scientist – AI/ML Development (Entry to Mid-Level), you will drive the use of machine learning to unlock business insights. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, you will build and train AI models, interpret outcomes, and communicate actionable insights in an accessible way. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in data science who are eager to grow their technical expertise and create real business impact in a collaborative environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Preparation & Model Development:
* Work with diverse data sources, ensuring data is cleaned, prepared, and fit for analysis.
* Develop and fine-tune models across predictive analytics, supervised and unsupervised learning, and generative AI applications.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
* Partner with BI and IT teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure seamless data access.
* Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical outputs into strategic business insights.
Model Interpretation & Business Impact:
* Analyse model performance, interpret outcomes, and present findings in an accessible manner to non-technical audiences.
* Translate model results into actionable recommendations that support data-driven business decisions.
Process Optimization:
* Leverage existing tools, frameworks, and cloud solutions to build efficient, scalable models.
* Identify opportunities for improving data workflows, model effectiveness, and overall ML operations.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
* 2+ years of hands-on experience with data preparation, statistical analysis, and machine learning model development.
* Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, including experience with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
* Familiarity with building predictive models for asset valuation, using time series and distributional analysis techniques.
* Hands-on experience building predictive models using real-world, messy datasets.
* Experience working with cloud-based ML services (e.G., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI).
* Familiarity with MLOps concepts such as model versioning, monitoring, and automated retraining pipelines.
* Knowledge of experiment tracking tools like MLflow, or version control for model development.
* Bonus:
Experience in AI/ML lab setups, platform development, or scaling machine learning projects across multiple teams.
