About the company
1. Our client is part of a globally operating insurance group with a strong international footprint
Responsibilities
2. Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HGB/IFRS with the support of Near- and Offshore teams
3. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
4. Lead the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation
5. Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy
6. Oversee tax-related matters as an interface to Group Tax and ensure tax compliance
7. Monitor cash flow and cash management
8. Collaborate with diverse teams to support business initiatives and financial projects
9. Support the optimization and implementation of SAP FI systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing financial processes
10. Train and support team members in the use of SAP FI systems, ensuring efficient use and troubleshooting issues
Profile
11. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
12. Profound experience in accounting, with a focus on financial closing, reporting and analysis
13. Knowledge of HGB/IFRS and experience with financial audits
14. Basic tax understanding and fundamental knowledge in the area of treasury
15. Proficiency in accounting software SAP FI and Microsoft Office Suite.Structured, analytical, versatile, and resourceful at turning issues into results
16. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
17. Hands-on mentality and strong coordination skills between nearshore and offshore in English and good German skills, both written and spoken
18. Interest or affinity for IT and Generative AI (GenAI) is highly appreciated
19. Fluent in English and good German skills, both written and spoken
