Your team: The Ethernet Networking Solutions (ENS) segment is part of the Product Line (PL) In-Vehicle Networking (IVN) and is one of the fastest growing segments within NXP. The systems & software team within ENS is responsible for providing software-related technical support to the field application team, while working closely together with R&D experts, sales team and directly with customers, worldwide. We are well recognized within the automotive market as experts and belong to the cross-industry community that introduces novelties in car networking. The location of this vacancy is Hamburg, Germany. Your tasks and responsibilities: Responsible for customer application support activities and system solutions for Ethernet switch and physical layer products and their application in In-Vehicle Networks (IVN) Respond to technical questions from our customer base, perform code reviews, create code and configuration examples and in general provide help for designing with NXP Ethernet products Reproduction and verification of issues reported by customers; if necessary, on-site support to identify and debug problems both in software and hardware Create customer facing technical documents such as application notes, white papers, FAQ’s, product trainings, etc. Contribute to internal software development projects Responsible for initiation and leading the development of reference designs and product or solution demonstrators Cooperate with other software and applications teams within NXP and external 3rd parties to create complete system solution packages and eco-system. Help to carry out trainings and workshops with automotive manufacturers and their electronic subsystem suppliers Contribute to thought leadership activities through conferences, trade fairs, articles, etc. Required and desired skills and experience: Several years of relevant experience of hardware & embedded software development using automotive semiconductors & electronics Proven hands-on experience with Ethernet switches, Ethernet physical layer products, interfaces and embedded microcontrollers Profound understanding of Ethernet network implementations Knowledge of the automotive market and applications is a plus. Software knowledge; working with microcontrollers C/C++; Low Level Drivers, Real Time Operating System, Linux, Python First experiences in dealing with customers. Proven problem solving and debug capabilities.
