Our client, for whom we are looking for a Deputy General Manager/Operation Manager (full-time job) is the subsidiary in Ingolstadt of a world-renowned and highly successful automotive supplier
Qualifications and knowledge:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* 5+ years of experience as an Operations Manager or Deputy General Manager, preferably in a tier one or two automotive supplier.
* Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting and strategic planning.
* Experience with lean methodologies (5S, Value Stream Management) and continuous improvement practices.
* Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
* Knowledgeable about safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and related processes.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
* Plan and direct day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
* Increase production capacity while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
* Manage logistics and supply chain operations.
* Ensure production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
* Allocate resources effectively to optimize results.
* Implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives for clear direction.
* Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions as needed.
* Build trust within the team, recruit, manage, and develop plant staff.
* Collect and analyze data to identify and eliminate waste and overtime.
* Commit to safety procedures across the plant.
* Develop systems to track productivity, standards, and performance targets for optimal asset return.
* Address employee issues and administer collective bargaining agreements.
* Stay updated on production management best practices.
* Responsible for KPIs, management reports, and continuous improvement in costs, quality, and safety.
