* Shape and maintain financial strategies that support the organisation’s mission
* Lead core financial operations, including annual budgeting, ongoing forecasting, and financial reporting
* Track budget performance and recommend cost‑optimisation measures
* Deliver clear, accurate financial statements and analysis to senior leadership and stakeholders
* Improve forecasting models and methods for better accuracy
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, EU/local regulations, and tax requirements
* Support strong internal controls to manage risk, safeguard funds, and prevent mismanagement
* Recruit, develop, and manage the finance team
* Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
* Oversee financial systems and tools, streamlining processes for greater efficiency
Key Requirements
* Master’s degree in finance, accounting, public administration, or similar preferred
* Solid understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance
* Strong skills in financial modelling, forecasting, analysis, and reporting
* HGB / IFRS knowledge
* Sharp analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
* Confident communicator with proven leadership and team management experience
* Professional fluency in German and English; additional languages a plus
* High integrity and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information
* Strong focus on compliance, risk management, and internal controls
