And so much more.u200bu202fu202f u200bCome break through with us.u202f Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings u2013 carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic working student to support our R&D team in the development of next-generation telecommunications products. The role has a strong experimental focus, particularly in the areas of radio frequency (RF), signal integrity, and optics. This is an excellent opportunity for students who want hands-on experience in an innovative, technology-driven environment. Your Responsibilities Support the setup and execution of RF and optical experiments to characterize components and systems Assemble in-house designed hardware as well as off-the-shelf components Document experimental setups, measurements, and results in a clear and structured manner Assist in maintaining, organizing, and calibrating laboratory equipment and shared team spaces Run circuit, electromagnetic, and basic optical simulations to support R&D activities Your Profile Currently enrolled in a university program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field Basic understanding of radio frequency (RF), electromagnetic fields, and optics Strong motivation to learn and develop skills in RF, EM, and optical technologies Structured, systematic, and reliable working style First experience with circuit design or simulation tools is an advantage Familiarity with KiCad, Eagle, or other PCB design software is a plus Basic proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (LaTeX is a plus) Basic programming or scripting skills in Python and/or MATLAB Good command of English (written and spoken) What We Offer Hands-on experience in cutting-edge R&D projects Close collaboration with experienced engineers and researchers A supportive and learning-oriented team environment Flexible working hours compatible with your studies A modern workplace in Berlin-Adlershof
