Senior Interface Manager

My client is a global developer and operator of offshore wind farms present in over 30 countries globally. They currently have a project pipeline of 20GW globally making them a market leader within the Offshore Wind industry.
They are now looking to recruit a Senior Interface Manager to support their continued pipeline growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* You are responsible for the proactive scope & interface management in the implementation of offshore wind farms, which encompasses all stages from scope definition, interface identification and management over action planning up to continuous monitoring and control including reporting and change management throughout the project's life cycle to bring each interface to a positive conclusion and avoid any scope gaps or overlaps in the process.
* You ensure that standard scope and interface management requirements are defined, understood, met and aligned with internal and external stakeholders, and are integrated into the project work breakdown structure (WBS).
* You ensure that the work is carried out in line with the existing company scope & interface management standards, procedures, tools, and processes that are established to support the tender, project development and project construction of offshore wind farm projects.
* Under your leadership and in close cooperation with the project team you identify all possible interfaces and their owners within the project under consideration of all internal and external factors that may impact the projects objectives such as safety hazards, technical factors, weather, contractor actions or inactions, and stakeholders' engagement.
* In addition to that, together with the project team, you evaluate the above-mentioned interfaces and interfacing parties. You use various tools and techniques, such as an interface matrix and interface drawings to evaluate and prioritise all interfaces.
* Based on this, you will develop interface management strategies, including action plans for each interface and thus ensure the smooth progress of the project.
* Where required, you act as mentor to junior colleagues in Scope & Interface Management and oversee and coordinate their activities across various projects. By that you support the Global Head of PMO in the functional team management.
* You lead the strategic development of procedures, processes, templates, and tools required for your function to perform its tasks.
* You lead the selection and maintenance of the software systems required for your function to perform its tasks.
* You take ownership of the lessons learned and continuous improvement process regarding your function's activities.
* The reporting line for all project-related matters shall be to the PMO Director and for all corporate topics to the Global Head of PMO.
Your profile:
* You have a university or technical college degree with several years of experience in scope and interface management of offshore wind execution projects.
* You also have several years of professional experience in the (technical) management of complex infrastructure projects in the offshore wind energy sector, covering the complete life cycle from early-stage development over construction up to operation with a solid understanding of commercial, contractual and technical interdependencies.
* You combine strong technical project management skills with a strategic mindset, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
* You have an eye for the big picture and prioritise aspects that jeopardise the critical path.
* You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set the right priorities, even under time pressure, with a high focus on diligence and quality.
* You have the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and market dynamics.
* You are proactive and solution-orientated team player in your approach to colleagues in the respective work packages in a multi-national and interdisciplinary team.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are capable of managing stakeholders at all levels.
* You are confident in identifying & analysing complex interdependencies quickly and presenting them in a concise and coherent way. Thus, supporting the project stakeholders to resolve any scope & interface issues.
* You have a very good command of written and spoken English. German language skills are a plus.
* You have first (functional) leadership experience to mentor more junior colleagues.
* You have first experience in scope & interface software administration.
* You have willingness to travel.
