SALES DIRECTOR
To lead our sales team in the DACH market. Position can be located in any of Metsä Wood’s sales office locations or operating sites in Europe.
What to expect in Metsä
We believe in a strong future of the resource efficient LVL based structures. We have significantly invested in capacity and will be growing 50 % in the coming years. We are therefore seeking a Sales Director to lead our sales in the DACH market.
You will be responsible for developing and executing a growth sales strategy in the construction distribution and industrial segments. This is a role where both leadership skills and strong operational involvement are required.
Responsibilities
* Strong hands‑on approach and taking part in daily sales operations
* Conducting weekly customer visits and spending time on the field
* Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and partnerships
* Product and application understanding and experience in compliance‑related matters
* Demand creation for LVL based structures and commercialisation of key application
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with our partners
* Leading a sales team and providing coaching and support to ensure team success
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth order fulfilment
* Performing sales planning, forecasting and reporting in alignment with Metsä Group processes
What we expect from you
You have a relevant university degree in Business, Sales or a related field along with strong sales and leadership experience in the construction or building materials industry. You have successfully led sales growth initiatives and are confident with pricing strategies and cost accounting.
You are an effective leader with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You enjoy working in an international environment and are fluent in English and German; other languages such as French or Finnish are an asset. This role requires regular travel within the market region.
