Control & Instrumentation Engineer for Battery Projects (Battery Planning)

Key Responsibilities:
* Development and preparation of C&I concept designs.
* Translation of project requirements into technical specifications.
* Coordination of internal and external C&I interfaces in line with project requirements.
* Preparation of the technical section of tender documentation.
* Identification of required components for the C&I system and definition of specifications, considering standards, and best engineering practices.
* Development of a project schedule for procurement, engineering, installation, and commissioning of the C&I system.
* Technical evaluation of supplier bids.
* Support during contract negotiations.
* Reporting on the technical project status to the Project Manager.
* Execution of design reviews.
* Management of technical interfaces with other disciplines/work packages, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Preparation, review, and approval of technical C&I documentation.
* Preparation and organization of all technical documentation required for installation and commissioning, and handover to the Site Manager.
* On-site supervision when activities fall within own responsibility or when specific project team support is required.
Key Qualifications
* Relevant professional expertise in control and communication engineering planning.
* Ability to quickly become familiar with BESS-specific control systems, including:
* Battery Control System (BCS)
* Energy Management System (EMS)
* SCADA systems
* Remote control interfaces (control room, operations and maintenance, grid operator)
* C&I data networks
* IT/OT infrastructure
* Plant monitoring systems (e.g., CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, electronic access control)
* Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
* Independent and self-driven working style.
* Responsibility for lead execution of C&I work packages.
German speaking is a must
