In the Jena Research Center – Automotive Optics Team we are now looking for a: Machine Learning I ntern for Digital Holography We are seeking a skilled candidate in machine learning for computer-generated holography in field of automotive head-up-display (HUD) applications. Your mission (Responsibilities in English) Perform research and develop algorithmic techniques in machine learning for computer-generated holography in field of optical displays and projection systems. Optimize holographic projection systems by integrating machine learning to enable real-time rendering, reduce noise, and enhance spatial resolution. Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through solution design and system simulation, up to proof of concept and prototyping. Track the advanced technologies in the relevant fields, gain insight into and explore new technologies and direction. Extensive interaction and close collaboration with co-workers in the team and from other departments, combine with top industry resources to achieve the business objectives. Your areas of expertise Proven experiences in development of machine learning and/or deep learning models are preferred. Strong theoretical and practical background in signal processing, image processing, and/or computer vision is preferred. Advanced programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB. Familiarity with optics, digital holography, and transformers is preferred. Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis and solving, and systematic and goal-oriented work approach.
