Alexander Daniels Global is supporting an exciting technology start-up developing advanced, mission-critical systems designed to operate in demanding real-world environments.
They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of mechanical system design, simulation, and prototyping for high-performance equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to validation and real-world deployment.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are robust, reliable, and capable of performing under extreme environmental conditions.
What you'll bring:
*Strong experience designing complex mechanical systems for demanding environments
*Proven ability to develop and validate designs through both simulation and physical testing
*Hands-on experience with prototyping and test setup development
*Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks (or equivalent)
Nice to Have:
*Familiarity with industry standards for environmental and durability testing (e.g. shock, vibration, ingress protection)
*Experience with lightweight structures, composites, or advanced manufacturing techniques
*Understanding of enclosure design for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
*Background in aerospace, defence, robotics, or other high-reliability engineering sectors
