This role involves working on cutting-edge automotive sensor hardware development, with a strong focus on new product introduction (NPI) and application-specific solutions. The position requires close collaboration with firmware, software, and system engineering teams to design, develop, and validate electronic hardware components and demonstrators.
What to expect from this role:
Development:
* Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) and hardware application development projects.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, software, systems) on hardware integration.
* Design and modify electronic circuits, PCB layouts, and 3D mechanical components.
* Develop custom hardware solutions (e.g., demo kits, test setups, early prototypes).
* Conduct hardware testing and validation, including interface with external partners.
Production and Quality:
* Maintain and enhance legacy automotive hardware products.
* Support quality assurance efforts, including failure analysis and process improvement.
* Work with operations teams to resolve production issues and customer complaints.
* Assist in implementing end-of-line testing setups for components and modules.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for existing hardware platforms.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar; 2–4 years of relevant experience.
* Strong PCB design/layout skills using tools like Altium, Eagle, or KiCad.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and automotive hardware practices.
* Familiarity with communication protocols (LIN, I2C, SPI, CAN); software/firmware skills a plus.
* Hands-on mindset, fluent in English; German language skills preferred.
