Overview:
**CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**
SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) SATCOM Engineer / Technician to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Responsibilities:
* Lead satellite dish lifecycle management, including planning, installation, maintenance, operations, replacement, and disposal of SATCOM systems.
* Direct requirements analysis, validation, and planning for military and commercial SATCOM.
* Architect network configurations, oversee system monitoring, and manage the activation of remote terminals.
* Resolve complex SATCOM incidents related to baseband, IF, and RF communications.
* Manage spectrum and frequency management services, coordinating frequency allocations with stakeholders.
* Oversee configuration management and weekly reporting on satellite link health.
* Analyze SATCOM-related documentation to determine configuration requirements.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
* An active Secret security clearance with an SSBI.
* DOD Cyber Work Force (DCWF) 411 Certs : SecurityX / CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or FITSP-O or GICSP or SSCP or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
* Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
* Proven administrative support experience, assisting contractor management with various tasks and projects.
* Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
Working Conditions:
* Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
* Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.
* May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
* It is anticipated that contractor personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner requirements.
