Taking a multidisciplinary and translational approach, we combine cell models, animal experiments, and human studies with protein biochemistry, pharmacology (e.g. autophagy induction, GLP-1 agonists), and advanced multi-omics techniques. /p p The offered project aims to unravel the interplay between metabolic and psychiatric phenotypes by establishing cellular autophagy as a central mechanism linking bi-directional brain-body interactions in stress-related disorders. Analyses of the autophagic pathway along with plasma proteomics and metabolomic polyamine profiling will be performed from human and murine samples. /ph4Tasks: /h4ul liConduct experimental research using advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques /li liAnalyze and interpret complex biological data to contribute to groundbreaking discoveries /li liCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage in scientific discussions /li liPresent findings at conferences and contribute to high-impact publications /li liAssist in teaching and mentoring students in the research group /li /ulh4Requirements: /h4ul liMaster’s degree in a relevant field, e.g., Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry /li liStrong background in cell signaling, proteostasis, and autophagy mechanisms /li liFamiliarity with statistical methods, data analysis, and omics data interpretation /li liHighly motivated, curious, and eager to contribute to scientific advancements /li liExcellent communication and teamwork skills /li liFluency in English, both spoken and written /li /ulh4We offer: /h4ul listrongResponsible and versatile: /strong a job with a lot of creative freedom in a collegial team /li listrongSecure in the future: /strong fee according to TV-L EG13 /li listrongFlexible for families: /strong flexible working time models, the option of a place in the company day-care center and offers for those returning from parental leave /li listrongProvision for later: /strong company pension scheme /li listrongClever to work: /strong possibility of an interest-free loan to buy an e-bike /li listrongTailor-made education: /strong subsidized further education and training /li listrongSystematic start: /strong structured induction /li listrongHealthy at work: /strong numerous health promotion offers, free membership in UKBfit /li listrongEmployer benefits: /strong preferential offers for employees (corporate benefits) /li /ul pWe are committed to diversity and equal opportunities.
