For our Water Management HOWIS & Hydrometeorology department, we are looking for a Data Scientist (m/f/d) Water Science to join our team in Essen as soon as possible on a permanent basis.
Your tasks
* Support for projects on wastewater heat recovery and renewable energies
* Technical and conceptual development of the topic of aquathermia and further development of the associations' energy map, taking into account hydraulic and demographic aspects, including data processing from sewer network modeling and pollution load calculation.
* Maintenance, development and utilization of water management data using GIS and specialized applications
* Development of automation routines for the evaluation and quality management of water management data for flood forecasting
Your profile
* Completed Master's degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, Hydrology, Water Science, Civil Engineering, Water Management or comparable qualification
* Solid project experience in the fields of geoinformatics, urban water management, hydrology, geography or geosciences
* Experience in relevant programming languages (Python, Java, R, JavaScript) as well as in agile methods and spatial GIS analyses
* Goa l and results orientation, analytical skills, initiative and teamwork skills
