Job Title: Legal Compliance Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Legal Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and legal research.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough assessments of investment firms' regulatory compliance, evaluating their prudential reporting and reports from internal control functions, approved auditors, and other submitted documents.
* Evaluate risks faced by investment firms in collaboration with internal specialists, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of potential threats.
* Undertake legal research and resolve complex questions related to the regulatory framework applicable to investment firms.
* Apply CSSF's legal powers, manage enforcement procedures, including procedural aspects, related to investment firms, ensuring effective resolution of issues.
* Collaborate with internal specialists to contribute to AML/CTF supervision aspects, providing expert insights and guidance.
* Develop regulatory expertise (MiFID, MICAR, ESG, etc.) and handle inquiries related to the practical application of the MiFID regulatory framework to investment firms, ensuring accurate information is provided.
Your Profile
* Hold a university degree in law (preferably with a focus on financial law or economic law) or economics, finance, or management.
* Possess a certificate of complementary training in Luxembourg law and end of judicial training examination or a PhD in law, which is considered an advantage for applicants with a legal background.
* Have first-hand experience working in a renowned local law firm, the legal service of a reputable financial sector professional, audit, credit institutions' compliance, or other financial sector professionals, or a supervisory authority.
* Demonstrate good knowledge of the regulatory framework and administrative law applicable to enforcement procedures.
* Possess basic knowledge of financial analysis or data mining, which is considered an asset.
* Show excellent writing, analytical, and synthesis skills.
* Display perfect proficiency in written and spoken French and English, with knowledge of German and Luxembourgish being considered as an advantage.
* Exhibit good communication skills, ability to integrate a team, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrate good organizational and follow-up skills, rigour, and ability to work independently.

The successful candidate will be hired as a public employee under a permanent contract, with the possibility of applying for admission to the status of civil servant if they meet the required conditions.
Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record dated less than 2 months to prove their conduct and integrity.
