Senior Investment Portfolio Manager
Job Summary:
An experienced senior investment professional is sought to manage and optimize fixed income portfolios, striking a balance between liquidity, regulatory, and profitability objectives.
* Manage and optimize fixed income portfolios to ensure effective liquidity, compliance with regulatory requirements, and profitable outcomes.
* Contribute to portfolio allocation decisions, focusing on duration, credit quality, and asset mix.
* Structure and execute interest rate derivatives for both internal and client-related transactions.
* Provide in-depth pricing, risk assessment, and product expertise for customer hedging solutions.
* Monitor derivative exposures and ensure adherence to hedge accounting and risk policies.
* Assess and monitor interest rate, credit, and liquidity risks within investment activities.
* Ensure accurate application of IFRS 9 classification, measurement, and impairment standards.
* Support reporting for regulatory requirements, including LCR and Basel III/IV compliance.
* Participate in stress testing and scenario analyses to inform investment decisions.
* Provide market insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in treasury, asset liability management, or investment portfolio management within a financial institution.
* Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, derivatives, and portfolio management principles.
* In-depth understanding of IFRS 9, hedge accounting, and risk management principles.
* Familiarity with Basel III/IV liquidity and capital requirements.
* Proficiency in financial systems, including Bloomberg.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills combined with commercial acumen.
* Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
* Hands-on execution skills combined with a strategic mindset.
* Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
* Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
