About this role This role sits within Preqin, part of BlackRocku2019s Aladdin Client Business. Your Role: As a Vice President within Preqinu2019s Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating our growth across the DACH region. We are looking for a commercially driven, relationship oriented professional who is excited to build momentum, open doors, and close meaningful partnerships. In this role, we trust you to make an immediate impact u2014 generating new subscription revenue, building a strong and sustainable pipeline, and expanding existing client relationships in close partnership with our Aladdin Client Engagement colleagues. You will be at the forefront of our go to market efforts in Germany, driving demand through localized events, targeted outreach, and strategic lead generation. This is a highly visible role with real ownership, autonomy, and opportunity to shape how we grow in one of our most important markets! What youu2019ll be doing: Weu2019ll rely on you to own the full sales lifecycle, from first conversation to close u2014 engaging senior decision makers, understanding client needs, and delivering thoughtful, value driven solutions. Youu2019ll actively develop new business opportunities while also uncovering strategic expansion opportunities within our existing client base. Youu2019ll bring Preqinu2019s products and capabilities to life, confidently articulating how we help clients solve complex challenges in private markets. This includes delivering compelling proposals, running impactful product demonstrations, and acting as a trusted partner throughout the buying journey u2014 whether meeting clients in person or connecting virtually. Above all, youu2019ll be a collaborative force: working cross functionally, sharing insights, and contributing to a team culture that celebrates success and learns from every experience. What we are looking for: Weu2019re excited to meet candidates who bring energy, curiosity, and a growth mindset. Youu2019ll be fluent in English and German and have meaningful experience in business development or account management within financial services, alternative investments, or B2B SaaS environments. You have a proven track record of delivering results u2014 consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets u2014 and youu2019re comfortable navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. You understand how to negotiate thoughtfully, identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and create long term value for clients. Youu2019re commercially savvy, analytically strong, and naturally detail oriented. You enjoy solving problems, take ownership of outcomes, and bring a disciplined yet flexible approach to managing priorities. Just as importantly, you care about being a great teammate u2014 building trust quickly, collaborating openly, and contributing positively to team momentum. Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with technology more broadly will help you thrive in this role.
