About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Base Maintenance CAMO Representative. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading organization in the aviation industry, where you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing project-related DHL Heavy Maintenance events.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in aircraft, engine, or related equipment maintenance or CAMO activity. You will possess a strong understanding of base maintenance needs, with a focus on cost efficiency, turnaround time (TAT), and high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor the overall performance of the MRO and DHL Base Maintenance service providers on site as the DHL CAMO representative.
* Act as a direct liaison between the Base Maintenance Maintenance Operation (MRO) and the DHL CAMO organization.
* Oversee the assurance of and compliance with DHL quality and performance standards.
* Verify compliance with all contractual agreements between the Maintenance Organisation (MRO) and DHL.
* Be on site at the MRO facility for planned base maintenance events and adapt to a constantly changing workplace (intensive traveling).
* Assist in the preparation of planned maintenance, including participation in pre- and post-delivery meetings.
* Contribute to process optimization and strengthen cooperation between internal departments and external partners.
* Maintain direct communication with all parties involved to ensure a smooth process and coordinate with manufacturers/suppliers and other DHL service providers.
* Act as a point of contact for CAMO staff on technical base maintenance issues.
* Attend daily meetings and share all relevant information with DHL CAMO.
* Review all contracted work and its completion.
* Check all commissioned work and its findings. Identify areas of operational risk in maintenance operations (MRO).
* Evaluate seasonal base maintenance projects and contribute to preparation for the upcoming season.
* Develop and distribute recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Initiate, follow up, coordinate, and investigate incidents during base maintenance in the defined area of responsibility.
* Analyze technical incidents during base maintenance and, where applicable, identify trends with other operators that could impact the operation.
* Track corrective actions and ensure that responsibilities and deadlines are met.
* Promote a positive and proactive approach to base maintenance.
* Participate in introductory and recurring base maintenance training.
About You:
* You hold a Part-66 license or equivalent engineering degree or relevant practical experience with extensive knowledge of the civil aviation industry.
* You have extensive experience in aircraft, engine, or related equipment maintenance or CAMO activity.
* You possess a strong understanding of base maintenance needs with a focus on cost efficiency, turnaround time (TAT), and high-quality standards.
* You have excellent organizational skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
* You demonstrate systematic and analytical thinking skills.
* You are able to work independently and remain effective under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
* You are a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
* You are willing and able to travel extensively (approximately 75% at MRO facilities and 25% at CAMO).
* You have fluency in written and spoken English and German.
* You are proficient with computer systems and applications such as Microsoft Office and TRAX.
