KG Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Innovation Full / Part time Either Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a High Voltage Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of innovative high-voltage AC and DC equipment. Your expertise in discharge mechanisms, insulation coordination, and component design will drive the next generation of high-voltage systems. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define architectures, validate concepts, and drive innovation from research to product deployment.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Develop and validate detailed designs for high-voltage AC and DC equipment, such as breakers, cables, transformers, and insulation systems.
2. Sound understanding of discharge mechanisms and phenomena ensure robust and reliable equipment design and performance.
3. Evaluate and optimize insulation coordination and protection strategies for high-voltage systems.
4. Collaborate with electro-mechanical and construction teams to ensure integrated system performance.
5. Drive the development and evaluation of innovative concepts for next-generation high-voltage power equipment.
6. Support R&D and innovation projects with technical insights and recommendations.
7. Document findings and contribute to technical publications, standards, and internal knowledge bases.
What You Bring
8. PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
9. Strong background in high-voltage equipment design, discharge mechanisms, and insulation coordination.
10. Proven experience with high-voltage AC and DC systems, including component design and testing.
11. Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and construction skills are beneficial.
12. Analytical approach, structured working style, and strong communication skills.
13. Fluent in English; German language skills at C1 level are appreciated.
