Position Summary
This role reports to the Director OS&E Procurement EMEA and is responsible for supporting and obtaining new OSE hotel projects {5SU], either by providing consultancy or offering a full tailored service per project. Developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and supporting supply chain partnerships across managed hotels. The role contributes to Marriott’s sustainability goals by integrating environmentally responsible sourcing practices and promoting circular supply chain models.
Scope
The role covers all Marriott brands across the EMEA region. Based in the continent’s headquarters, the position requires fluency in English and occasional travel [20%-40%]. It supports Marriott’s sustainability initiatives across all brands and regions, ensuring alignment with global environmental standards.
5SU, Procurement Project Services and Acquisition of New Projects
1. Supports hotel openings by managing OS&E budgets, specifications, delivery monitoring, and brand/vendor alignment.
2. Recommends sustainable products and suppliers and ensures compliance with Marriott’s sustainability standards.
3. Procurement services must utilise the Fohlio Inc. procurement platform to ensure consistency and compliance.
4. Responsible for attending kick-off presentations and managing a dedicated project pipeline to achieve annual KPIs for the department.
5. Maintains strong owner relations to support future project opportunities and ensure alignment with Marriott’s strategic goals.
Procurement Process and Data Analysis
Manages procurement processes, including RFPs, vendor consolidation, and purchasing procedures. Tracks sustainability metrics such as carbon footprint, recycled content, and supplier ESG performance. Conducts data analysis to forecast inventory needs and evaluate supplier performance.
Vendor Management
Fosters partnerships with vendors committed to sustainable practices and innovation in eco-friendly products. Oversees stakeholder communication, vendor inspections, and reliability monitoring.
Property Support
Supports properties with pricing, standards, communication, and leveraging contracts. Assists in implementing sustainable sourcing strategies and provides training on eco-conscious procurement. Monitors the generic procurement mailbox and attends to questions from properties and vendors.
Other
Ensures compliance with Marriott’s sustainability policies and participates in corporate responsibility programs. Performs additional duties as required.
Candidate Profile
6. Experience in hotel operations, procurement, and vendor management.
7. Strong communication and analytical skills.
8. Familiarity with sustainable procurement, ESG frameworks, and green certifications (., ISO 14001, LEED).
9. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including advanced use of Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint for collaborative project management and reporting.
10. Skilled in leveraging Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity by automating document creation, summarising meeting notes, generating insights from data, and drafting communications.
11. Ability to integrate Copilot into daily workflows to streamline procurement tasks, vendor communications, and reporting processes.
12. Comfortable working in a cloud-based environment with real-time collaboration tools and AI-powered assistance to improve decision-making and efficiency.
