About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Interim HR Specialist to support the implementation phase of a major organisational separation on behalf of our client – a global business undergoing significant transformation. This role requires expert knowledge of German labour law, HR operations, and proven experience in working with German works councils .
You will act as a key point of contact for all HR matters related to the separation, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and smooth coordination throughout the change process.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as the HR lead for labour law and operational HR issues related to the organisational split.
* Manage cooperation with the German works council, including supporting the execution of the Interessenausgleich (balance of interests).
* Coordinate and document all employment-related processes linked to the transition.
* Draft and adapt HR documentation, including contracts, letters, and agreements.
* Ensure compliance with German employment law during all phases of the change.
* Provide practical, hands-on support throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile
* Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on operational HR and labour law.
* Demonstrable experience working with German works councils (Betriebsrat).
* Native or near-native fluency in both German and English .
* In-depth understanding of German labour law and employee relations.
* A practical, execution-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.
* Experience in organisational change, restructuring, or post-merger environments is advantageous.
