About this role
As a Maître d'Hôtel, you will be the conductor and host of the room.
You will lead the floor team with purpose, ensure a smooth and elegant service, and foster a sense of warmth and belonging for every guest.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily floor operations with precision and calm
• Monitor and optimize bookings, capacity, and guest flow together with Hostess
• Supervise POS system and transactions for accuracy and speed
• Foster a strong team spirit, ensuring fluid communication and mutual support between team members
• Build and maintain genuine relationships with regulars and new guests
• Support service during peak times with presence and care
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety protocols
• Address guest concerns with empathy and swift problem-solving
• Contribute to revenue development, upselling strategies, and overall guest satisfaction
What we're looking for:
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in a high-end restaurant setting
• Background in hospitality management or related training is a plus
• A natural team leader: inspiring, supportive, and solutions-focused
• Warm and confident communicator, with a strong sense of hospitality, charisma and emotional intelligence
• Deep understanding of refined service and modern guest expectations
• Experience with reservation systems, POS, and floor management tools
• Fluent in French and English; Luxembourgish or other languages are a plus
