Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP of Hardware Engineering to drive the design, development, and scaling of our next-generation semiconductor metrology systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers working at the intersection of optical microscopy, quantum technology, radio frequency engineering, and precision instrumentation. You will play a pivotal role at QuantumDiamonds, developing our cutting-edge R&D prototypes and transforming them into robust, scalable products for industrial deployment. Guide and support them on technical, process and personal issues Strong independence, you will have much freedom in shaping your team and your own management style Ensure technical leadership and communicate results with other teams and management What is expected of you PhD in Physics, Optical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline ; exceptional candidates with an MSc and 6 years of hands-on R&D experience are also encouraged to apply. Proven track record of 4 years in a hardware engineering setting outside of academia working with complex optical and/or electronic measurement equipment. Proven track record of 3 years in a team lead role managing a team of several engineers Experience in project management, with concrete examples Collaborative mindset and willingness to work hands‑on in the lab.
