Job Description
The Nautical Systems department is focused on developing new procedures and technologies for shore-based and on-board support in ship navigation. Our mission-oriented research covers the theoretical foundations to demonstration of new procedures and systems in a real environment.
Your Tasks
* Develop radio-based alternative methods for maritime navigation
* Analyse the performance of combined satellite and land-based radio navigation systems
* Select, develop, implement and validate algorithms for data fusion of satellite and land-based radio navigation systems
* Prepare, implement, evaluate and document measurement campaigns
Your Profile
* Completed scientific university degree (Master's degree) in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, geodesy or other relevant degree programmes
* Experience in at least one of the two fields of radio navigation or signal processing
* Experience working with Software Defined Radio (SDR) in programming languages Python and C++
* Practical experience in publishing scientific results
* Independent, creative and goal-oriented way of working with analytical skills and willingness to work in a team
* Ability to carry out business trips
* Good knowledge of written and spoken English
