As a Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and testing advanced software solutions for our cutting-edge medical robotic systems. Lead the design and implementation of embedded software features (C/C++), prioritizing performance, safety, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and clinical experts to ensure seamless integration of software into the robotic system.
Define and analyze software requirements based on product specifications and regulatory standards, translating them into robust software solutions.
Oversee software development, including coding, debugging, and testing, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Create comprehensive documentation, including software specifications and test plans, to support product development and regulatory submissions.
Stay updated on advancements in embedded software and medical robotics, applying relevant technologies to enhance product performance.
Efficiently manage project timelines, budgets, and resources related to software development, ensuring successful project completion and stakeholder satisfaction
Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Proven experience in embedded software design and development, preferably in medical device or robotics industries.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and embedded software development tools.
Expertise in real-time operating systems, sensor integration, signal processing, and software optimization.
Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards applicable to medical devices, such as IEC 60601.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges and optimize software for performance and reliability.
Experience with hardware-software integration and embedded systems design is a plus.
Fluency in English and German.
