Trade Compliance Specialist Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customs processes consistency and accuracy with European Customs Law and companies global and regional policies on imports and export in EMEA.
This includes ensuring that Customs / Trade Compliance issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently according to the company global policies. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with the Customs / Trade Compliance Team on EU special projects and independent implementation of internal audits and supporting on external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Broker Management / Central Customs Tower: Point of contact in EMEA, coordination, monitoring and handling of irregularities incl. escalations.
* Support on implementation, monitoring, support customs clearance processes for all EMEA entities.
* Handling of simplified customs permits – incl. updates, reports, process descriptions, corrective actions etc.
* Determination and handling of Customs Tariff codes.
* Request / creation of Long-Term Suppliers Declarations for EU – incl. INF4 handling.
* Customs Software Management handling – ATLAS.
* Initiate internal audits and review / evaluate internal records of regional and local import/export.
* Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Finance, Legal, Tax, Procurement, Supply Planning, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, etc. to resolve and/or assure international trade activities.
* Provide guidance and advice on matters such as correct classification, proper valuation, country of origin, free trade agreements, INCOTERMS, record keeping, broker management and/or export-controls.
Requirements:
1. Solid years of relevant experience in Customs / Trade compliance.
2. Bachelor's Degree and/or certificate of Customs / Trade Compliance related
