Introduction
To strengthen our Finance team, we are looking for a Senior Controller (m/f/d) with 5–7 years of relevant experience – either full-time or part-time (up to approx. 20 hours/week).
You will work in a private-equity-owned setup (holding structure) with high standards regarding professionalism, transparency, and steering capabilities – in an international environment with multiple locations.
Target start date: 01 June 2026
Your mission
Own revenue steering across ARR/MRR, gross and net retention, churn, CAC payback, LTV, and cohort performance — analyzing, interpreting, and translating insights into actionable recommendations
Act as a commercial business partner to Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing through close cross-functional collaboration on pipeline analyses, win/loss reviews, upsell tracking, and retention initiatives
Further develop rolling revenue forecasting and take ownership of annual revenue and budget planning
Provide pricing analytics through deal-level analyses and elasticity models to support pricing decisions
Contribute directly to board and private equity reporting: your numbers feed into monthly shareholder updates and board materials — PE-grade quality, with no compromises
Build and enhance the controlling infrastructure by rethinking the BI, reporting, and forecasting setup with a strong focus on AI and automation
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings on the revenue side
Your profile
~5–7 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Revenue Finance — ideally within B2B SaaS, software, or a scale-up environment
~ A strong feel for SaaS metrics and their underlying drivers — not just from textbooks, but from real-world practice: what truly drives NRR, where cohort cliffs occur, and how to interpret CAC payback correctly
~ Strong analytical capabilities, a structured way of working, and a “model first, PowerPoint second” mindset
~ Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, along with experience working with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker), CRM data (Salesforce), and ERP systems
~ Very good German and fluent English skills
~ A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Economics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
~ A plus: basic SQL skills, experience with AI-based finance tools, and familiarity with private equity reporting standards
THE JOY OF WORKING WITH US
Shape rather than maintain. With new management, private equity ownership, and transformation happening in real time, your impact will be visible within 90 days
C-level visibility. You will work directly with the VP Finance, CEO, and executive leadership team, and your analyses will make their way into board-level discussions
AI-first tool stack. Salesforce, Gong, Notion, a modern BI stack, and Copilot / Claude are embedded in the workflow — we automate wherever possible
Real SaaS reality. ARR, NRR, and cohorts are not just presentation slides, but part of the daily management toolkit
Maximum flexibility. Hybrid, remote-first across Germany, full-time or part-time from 20 hours per week, with a company car available on request
International environment. Four locations, customers across Europe, and bilingual collaboration
Job Location
Hybrid – connection to Pforzheim (headquarter), with collaboration across multiple locations (incl. Berlin/Munich).
