What will you do day-to-day? Independently drafting and review of various types of contracts, including but not limited to Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) agreements, Financing Agreements, Land Lease & Purchase Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and other project-related contracts. Leading contract negotiations with stakeholders such as suppliers, clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, ensuring terms and conditions are in the best interest of the company and comply with applicable regulations. Analysis of regulatory and permitting matters during the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations. Corporate housekeeping of project companies (e.g. drafting of minutes, board resolutions, PoAs, change of directors). Steering and managing external legal counsel to ensure legal advice is aligned with business objectives and timelines. Acting as a liaison between external legal teams and internal business teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Identify potential legal risks associated with contracts, regulatory matters, and corporate governance. Propose risk mitigation strategies and solutions that align with business objectives. What are we looking for? Qualified lawyer in Germany. A minimum of 6 years post-qualified experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, ideally with international exposure. Familiar with corporate and financing law. Fluent in German and English are mandatory; additional languages (e.g., Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) are a plus. Self-driven and proactive personality with strong negotiation and communication skills. Profound understanding of the commercial aspects of the energy and infrastructure sector as well as of complex structures.
