Position summary
The Junior Controller supports all core controlling activities, including budgeting, forecasting,
financial analysis, reporting, and project controlling. The role is designed for an early-career finance
professional who already brings strong analytical capabilities, solid Excel skills, and a foundational
understanding of controlling principles. The Junior Controller will work closely with the Controlling
Team Lead and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
This role offers significant learning opportunities, exposure to international operations, and the
chance to grow into broader responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
17. Support preparation of budgets, forecasts, and periodic updates.
18. Perform variance analyses on actuals vs. plan and identify key drivers.
19. Prepare recurring financial reports and dashboards (monthly/quarterly).
20. Assist in cash-flow planning and follow-up analysis.
21. Support development of KPIs and management reporting packages.
22. Conduct cost analyses across Opex, Capex, and project-related spend.
23. Support project controlling activities, including planning and cost tracking.
24. Analyze trends and support identification of efficiency opportunities.
25. Provide data-driven support for business decisions and business cases.
26. Maintain high-quality Excel models and contribute to process automation.
Potential additional responsibilities (dependent on candidate’s experience):
27. Participation in selected accounting tasks.
28. Assist in business partner accreditation calculations.
Experience and competencies for success
Required
29. 1–2 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis, or a related finance role.
30. Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel abilities (complex formulas, pivot tables, model
structuring).
31. Good VBA (Macros) or automation skills.
32. Basic understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
33. Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Controlling, Business Administration, or related field.
34. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain numbers clearly.
35. High attention to detail, structured working style, and ability to meet deadlines.
36. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
37. Comfortable working in an international, dynamic environment.
38. Fluent spoken and written English.
Nice to Have
39. Knowledge of IFRS or Swiss GAAP.
40. Experience with any ERP/financial systems (Diamant is an advantage).
41. Experience working in multinational or cross-functional teams.
42. First exposure to accounting principles.
