WHITE MOUNTAINS COMMUNITY COLLEGE LICENSED NURSING ASSISTANT PROGRAM COORDINATOR UP TO 10 HOURS PER WEEK, AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY $30.70-36.13/HOUR SCOPE OF WORK: Provides administrative oversight for the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) Program at White Mountains Community College (WMCC). This position reports directly to the Manager of Workforce Development at WMCC. ACCOUNTABILITIES : Assists the Manager of Workforce Development with faculty recruitment, orientation, assignment, and evaluation of adjunct instructors and teaching accountabilities. Serves as academic advisor to students and helps promote student retention. Coordinates with the NH Board of Nursing for formal documentation and reports and site visits. Helps develop course schedule, and in consultation with the Manager of Workforce Development, considers alternative methods of delivery. Develops, implements, and evaluates curricula; maintains program/course documents, and revises as needed in a timely manner. Assists with student recruitment through activities such as college open houses and student orientations. Contributes to program review, accreditation, and other assessment initiatives as needed, with consultation from the Manager of Workforce Development. Maintains course documents, including descriptions of each course�s content, a list of program related activities, and a list of individuals who successfully complete the program. Provides occasional external representation as needed. Manages procurement efforts, including materials, equipment, etc. Selects, monitors, facilitates, and evaluates internship/practicum sites as needed. Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education: Bachelor�s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in allied health, nursing, biological sciences, or closely related field. Experience: Four years of experience in the field of allied health or nursing, including two years of experience providing care to elderly and/or chronically ill patients, and one year of experience providing care in a long-term care facility. License/Certification : Possession of a valid driver's license or access to transportation. Possession of a current New Hampshire unencumbered registered nurse license or a multi-state RN license from a compact state. RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing the programs to which assigned, and of federal and community resources and organizations. Working knowledge of research and planning methods and planning techniques. Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to write technical information. Ability to understand and interpret the functional interrelationship of policy, regulations and procedures and to evaluate the impact on programs, service delivery, clients and staff. Ability to detect and define problem areas and causes and to create and develop effective solutions, including the exercise of sound judgment in evaluating situations, planning action, making decisions and setting priorities. Ability to work independently to develop new or alternative approaches to meet changing and variable conditions. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
