Mechanical Lead – Data Centre Construction

We’re working with a leading European contractor delivering hyperscale data centre projects. They’re looking for a Mechanical Lead to take responsibility for mechanical delivery across a defined area or system scope.
You’ll sit between the Mechanical PM and the site teams — driving coordination, programme, and quality on the ground.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading mechanical delivery across a defined project area or system scope
* Coordinating subcontractors, supervisors and engineers
* Driving programme through short-term planning and lookaheads
* Ensuring installation meets quality, safety and compliance standards
* Managing interfaces with CSA, Electrical and other trades
You’ll play a key role in:
* BIM coordination and resolving technical issues
* Preparing systems for testing and commissioning
* Supporting flushing, pressure testing and system validation
* Driving snagging and close-out to handover readiness
What they’re looking for:
* Mechanical Engineering background
* 4–7 years’ experience on large-scale construction projects
* Strong HVAC / chilled water / ventilation systems knowledge
* Experience leading teams or owning areas of delivery
* Exposure to commissioning or project close-out
Data centre experience is beneficial, but not essential.
