Your Tasks
We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Head of Sourcing to lead our sourcing activities within the European trade-in/recommerce industry. You are responsible for developing and executing our sourcing strategy, establishing new and developing existing key partnerships. In this role you will continuously identify market trends and best practices to develop our market position. You will work on offers, tenders and sourcing documents. You will have a deep understanding of the European trade-in/recommerce landscape, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to excellence.
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy for different channels such as trade-in, ITAD and global trading
2. Identify, evaluate and onboard potential new suppliers while fostering long-term relationships with existing partners
3. Build and expand a robust professional sourcing network and strengthen our position in the recommerce industry
4. Control supplier performance and establish metrics to evaluate supplier effectiveness
5. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities
6. Staying informed of competitors and market trends
7. Interact with our US-based corporate headquarters and collaborate closely with teams in an international environment to ensure alignment between sourcing and operational objectives
8. Manage and mentor the sourcing team and foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to drive sourcing excellence
9. Coordinate Sourcing forecasting, budgeting, planning, and process optimization
You are reporting into the Vice President Mobility.
Your Qualifications
10. 8+ years of experience working in leadership positions within a fast-growing service-focused industry, preferably in Sourcing and Sales in the mobile device industry, recommerce, global trading, ITAD or similar fields
11. Strong understanding of the electronic device lifecycle, pricing and market dynamics in recommerce
12. Proven track record of developing sourcing strategies and managing supplier and partner relationships effectively
13. Highly effective communicator at all levels with both customers and internally
14. Proven ability to drive business development and manage stakeholder relationships
15. Strategic and commercial mindset with excellent analytical skills
16. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
17. Ability to deal with ambiguity in complex international environments
18. Entrepreneurial way of thinking and acting
19. Travel willingness approx. 30%
20. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
21. Openness and directness, with strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
22. Fluent communication (both verbal and written) in English; German language skills are a plus
